Most of the recipes require a long list of ingredients. For instance the Chile Verde has 15 ingredients. If I'm going to use that many ingredients, I would have to making a pot not a mug. I bought this book because the author had written an excellent and practical cookbooks on mug cakes
I just couldn't put this book down. I have spent the entire day making several of the recipes. They are delicious and very affordable. I have had a wonderful time making lunch and dinner with some cake. I know I will be using these recipes a great deal.
This book has a lot of pictures and fun ideas without being too long. I actually liked it well enough to buy five copies and share them as gifts. One of my favorite things is the comments the author makes at the beginning of each recipe. You can easily vary the recipes to suite your taste once you have tried them. The fact that they can be single servings or made for two people means that you don't have to waste much food to find out what you would do differently. I appreciate the fact that this author was willing to share her ideas and recipes.
Since I live alone with only a microwave at present, this book had me name on it! The recipes are well balanced and look yummy! I even bought a new set of large mugs. I am tired of eating junk food. These recipes will help me take better care of me. I am very pleased with my purchase.
To start with, I haven't made any of the recipes yet. But there are several I want to try (craving French Toast and I plan on trying the recipe this weekend.) I also noticed that most of the recipes don't require more than a microwave, so you don't have to prep item in the oven or on the stove top first.
A fun new way to cook for us. The breakfast menus are what we've done the most and the biscuits and gravy are great. We never go out to restaurants any more and cook at home, from scratch, for 99% of our meals. We had seen these types of cookbooks and ignored them for years. Now we're looking for another one!
Being 'old and single' one person meals are a pain to fix ... until I got this book. Well worth the price.
