Bobby Brown's book is an excellent read. I read this book in three days. I found myself unable to put it down. Bobby has been labeled as a bad boy and people want to blame him for what has happened. I remember once I saw an interview with his former wife Whitney Houston and she stated from her own mouth how everyone wants to blame Bobby for everything and she stated "I may be worse than he is". In any event, whatever you feel about the situation read the book to get his perspective. You will laugh and cry your eyes out. Loved it.
Sometimes, I view this world as one big illusion. You just don't know what to believe in a world full of trickery ,lies, greed, egos and deceit. The social media can be a monster....Never take anything for face value. I always admired Bobby Brown. He has this unique charisma that always told me he isn't as bad as they painted him to be. He was young, dumb, full of .... with a pocket full of dollars. What I admired most, he wore his life on his sleeves. He didn't pretend to be something he was not. He was an independent hot head with an ego....He only knew what he knew.... but he eventually grew and still learning....I enjoyed this book. It gives him the opportunity to share his side of the many stories that have floated around for decades. I also love Whitney. Although, I did see a side of her I had no idea when Bobby had the reality tv show, Being Bobby Brown. She hid it well. Thus, making him look like the worse of the bunch. This was a quick read and I like how he added photos in the back of the book. I would recommend this book. Bobby will always be King in eyes. Many blessings to him and his entire family. I wish them well.
Bobby Brown is an amazing performer and entertainer, period. But I had NO idea of the all the pain and tragedy he went through in his life. While reading you can't help but feel Bobby through his words. This book brings truth, honestly, laugher and tears....it also answers all questions. Thanks for sharing your story Bobby Brown.
I enjoyed this book: Bobby is a likable guy and the narrative moves quickly. I wish the book had been a bit longer, it felt like there were some areas that he rushed through like the early New Edition years and his marriage to Whitney. Sharing his experiences and thoughts on the deaths of both Whitney and Bobbi Kristina was brave and pretty emotional to read. All in all I enjoyed this book: it was very simple and to the point with just enough juicy material to keep you engrossed. Good job Bobby.
Bobby Brown is such a captivating person who has an equally captivating story. To go through what he has gone through in his life especially the last 7 years or so and to make it out in 1 piece with your right mind is proof that God is real. He had a hell of a life. I also liked that his friends such as Ralph Tresvant, his siblings, current wife, baby mama and kids also were able to tell their sides of how they saw and interpreted situations. Ralph said something in the book that I had never thought of before reading this book, he said "the real character of a person is how your children feel about you, that's who you really are and Bobby's kids are crazy about him and that's why someone like Whitney could fall in love with him".
You have read the stories in the tabloids. It was great to hear his side of the story. He touches on everything from His marriage to Whitney, their divorce, his career, losing his daughter, his other kids. There isn't apart of his life he doesn't touch upon. I have so much respect for the man that he is, owning up to his mistakes and taking responsibility. He has lead a fascinating and sometimes tragic life. I'm so happy he was willing to share it with us. Highly recommend, fast read I couldn't put it down.
I just finished reading this book four days ago, and I have to say that Bobby Brown sure knows how to write a page turner.I've been a Bobby Brown fan since I was a kid back in the 1990s, so I knew what I was getting when I purchased this book here on Amazon.One of the best things about this book was that Bobby was honest, as he wasn't interested in making this book a puff piece or a book to make him look like a saint.In this book he discussed his passion for his family, his distaste for the Houston family (especially after he and Whitney got divorced; and trust me, after you read this book you'll have distaste for the Hosuton family too), the ups and downs of his life as an entertainer, how he met his current wife Alicia Etheredge, and more.At the end of the day Bobby was a great entertainer as a solo artist and with New Edition, and he always lived his life on his own terms. The way he lived his life didn't sit too well with a lot of people (including New Edition and his critics) and Bobby didn't care.But it's 2019 now, and Bobby isn't the guy he was back in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. He's a family man now and I'm glad he's happy and out of the Hollywood scene.
Great insight and storytelling by Bobby Brown. I'm so glad he decided to tell his side of the story. I always felt like he was unfairly slandered by Whitney's family for so many decades and maligned as if he alone was the problem in his marriage to Whitney. Bobby is many things, and he'll be the first to tell you that he was no angel, but I do believe he loved his ex-wife and he did all he could to help her. The media and Whitney's family should be ashamed for pushing such a false, slanderous narrative for so many years. Great read.
